Main New York Baseball stadiums

Hilltop Park
Opened in 1903, its location was Manhattan. But it closed down in 1912. With a capacity of 16,000, the cost to build the stadium was about $200,000. The teams that played there are New York Highlanders/Yankees and New York Giants.

Polo Grounds
Opened in 1891 and renovated around 1911, this stadium also closed in 1963. Its location was West 155th Street and Eighth Avenue. It took around $300,000 to build the place and could seat around 55,000 spectators. New York Giants, New York Yankees and New York Mets played there.

Ebbets Field
Opened in 1913 and closed in1960, this New York Baseball stadium was situated in 55 Sullivan Place, Brooklyn. Brooklyn Dodgers team played there in 1913-1958. $750,000 was the cost behind the 32,000 capacity stadium.

Original Yankee Stadium
Opened in 1923, it was later closed for renovation in 1973. Situated in East 161st Street and River Avenue, Bronx, New York Yankees were among the teams that played there. Cost to build the place was $2.4 million and the capacity was later expanded to 67,000.

Citi Field
Opened in 2009, this famous among the main New York Baseball stadiums is located at 126th Street and Roosevelt Avenue, Flushing. Teams that have played there are Mets. Cost to build the stadium was $900 million and the capacity is 42,000.

Yankee Stadium
Another of the New York Baseball stadiums, it was opened in 2009. Located at East 161st Street and River Avenue, Bronx, the tams that played there are New York Yankees. Cost to build was $1.5 billion while the capacity is 52,325.
